Zoe comes home

Zoe arrived home to San Francisco on November 22, 2008 from a breeder in Hanford, California. She was born on August 4, 2008, and currently weighs about b.75 pounds. She is sable colored and a purebred puppy. He father is AKC certified and her mother if ACA certified.

We drove the 3.5 hours from San Francisco to pick her up. Most people are unaware, just as we were as to where Hanford is. Is just off of highway 5 where the Harris Ranch is on the way to or from LA. In essence it's a midway point between LA ad SF on the 5. From that exit it's about another 20-30 minutes due east. There is a Naval Air Station out there that some people may know of but I don't recall it or have ever recalled hearing of it.

In any case this is about Zoe.... We arrived to pick her up excited new parents and when we arrived we were greeted with a lovable puppy that I knew I wanted the minute I saw her picture in the email. She was adorable and sweet. Her tail is undocked and she has the sweetest demeanor I have ever seen. She loves like no other.

I picker her up immediately and she closed her eyes on my shoulder and made lovable whining noises which won my heart over. I knew it right there... this was my little girl! I mean... our little girl! LOL! We got her to the car and gave her some water as we were prepared with some food and water and toys and such to help entertain her and get her accustomed to her new home. I held her in my arms and in my lap the whole way home to let her know that she was safe. I fell asleep and so did she. We were a match made in heaven.

When we got home I took her for a brief walk to go "potty" and she did which was fortunate for me. Unfortunately it was only the beginning....

That night she and I barely slept as she needed to get accustomed to her new home but by the second and third night she was sleeping so soundly I was in heaven and not worrying about whether I was going to be tired for work the next day or not.
